HI! I'm Anne and I’m so glad you found this page!

I’m assuming you’re here because you’re like me. You grew up in the Catholic church and now you are looking to have a closer relationship with God, or learn more about your faith and you don’t quite know where to begin.

Your story is my story, friend.

I grew up Catholic, I went to church every Sunday, and even though I attended CCD weekly until I was a senior in High School, I don’t feel like I learned very much about my faith. So, as soon as I headed off to college, (a Catholic college at that) I immediately stopped going to mass and started focusing on more important things like having fun.

But, starting in my second year of college, there have been several points in my life where I felt like I needed to or wanted to get closer to God and learn more about the Catholic faith. I’ve journeyed in and out of my relationship with Jesus and in and out of the faith - even to the point of almost leaving the Church completely. (You can read about that here). What I’ve found over time is a deep love for (and from!) God, and a greater understanding of and appreciation for our beautiful Catholic Faith.

I’d love for you to grow in relationship with Jesus or start a relationship with Jesus. I’d love for you to learn a little more about our beautiful faith and mostly I’d love for you to feel confident in practicing and talking about our faith.

I’ll share stories of my own faith journey, including that time I almost left the Church, and share lots of resources that have helped me in the past years.

Here’s a little disclaimer: I’m not a perfect Catholic. I’m not a perfect person. I don’t have all the answers. I make mistakes and sin on the regular. I’m a work in progress and still learning about the Catholic church. I’m working on my relationship with God, taking a one step forward, two steps back approach, but never giving up. Having said that, I love Jesus and I love my faith and I want to share that with you.

So I hope that you will journey with me and together we can take our Inherited Faith and make it our own.

Oh, and I guess I should write a little about my personal life too! I am a mom of four, a teenaged son and tween triplet girls. My husband and I were high school sweethearts and have known each other since we were 16 and 15, respectively. My hobbies include gardening, eating food that I didn’t have to cook, and whistling loudly and just slightly off-key.
