Find Community in the

Catholic Church

DON'T GO IT ALONE. FIND PEOPLE TO WALK THIS JOURNEY WITH YOU.

Register at a parish

Community is important. Your Catholic friends will help you grow closer to God

Start small. If you haven't yet, find a parish and register. If you go to the same church you went to as a kid, call them and tell them you want to register on your own, as an adult.

Get involved. Join a group. If you are just dipping your toes in, don't feel like you have to start with a Bible Study.

My first foray into finding my community was joining a playgroup for moms with young kids at my church and guess what, we rarely talked about faith. But joining that group was a pivotal moment in finding people like me, who wanted to be more involved in their faith.

I know, I know, I just said don't join a Bible study, but now I'm saying yes, join a Bible study. If you feel comfortable and are ready to learn more about scripture, then by all means, join!

Not only will you learn how to read the Bible and how God speaks to you personally through His Word, you'll find people to walk alongside you in your faith journey.
